This guy is the Superman of the Spice World. When used correctly, treated with gentleness and respect it is a beautiful spice giving subtle hints.

Turmeric been around for 1,000’s of years. In Ayurvedic Indian Culture, Turmeric was used for its vast array of healing properties, Cultural Ceremonies and Spiritual rituals. It’s completely loved for its medicinal purposes and food qualities alike, making it a winner all round.
Because of its Predominance in Asian culture, that influence expanded, taking it into Arabic and African cooking as well as other regions and countries around the world. Hence its appearance in foods like piccalilli, classic chutneys, mustards and even in the unexpected places like Dry Roasted Peanut Coatings. it's an absolutely wonderful, wonderful spice and classically used in curry’s - my Turmeric Gold Recipe uses golden Turmeric Powder, Garlic and Coriander to make up an absolutely stunning marriage of flavours.
